The Goshen News - Goshen, Indiana

114 South Main Street - Interesting brick detail on the facade of the Goshen News building.

Thompson & Company Cigar Factory - Bartow, Florida

255 North Third Street - This factory from 1925 was designed by William H. Odell and William L. Seward.

In need of a facelift, everything seems to be sagging.

Industrial Building - Bremen, Georgia

Georgia Avenue - I thought this building was kind of cool.  It appeared as though it was currently vacant.  I could not find a particularly good vantage point for a photo, so I'm stuck with this one.

Jordon & Son Jewelers - Avon Park, Florida

16 East Main Street - This 1926 building is notable only for the Vitrolite glass on its facade.

Variety Playhouse - Atlanta, Georgia

1099 Euclid Avenue - Originally the Euclid Theater, the Variety Playhouse is a live music venue in the Little Five Points section of Atlanta.

Century Link - St. Cloud, Florida

1111 Florida Avenue - I believe the bulk of this 1966 building is just a big dull box.  The beauty is in the details.  There is an abundance of colorful mosaic tile and the awning adds interest to the entrance.

Building - Los Angeles, California

I have no idea where in LA I took these pictures or what kind of building this is but it has some nice Art Deco elements.

House - Louisville, Kentucky

I have no recollection of where in Louisville this house is located.  I really liked the rustic woodsy atmosphere of it and had to pull over and snap a couple of pictures when I saw it back in 1999.

The Strawberry Hut - Plant City, Florida

1505 Wheeler Street - A great little restaurant building.  The front canopy obviously looks like it was added on later to shield those inside from the harsh Florida sun but the place still looks pretty good.

1105 Euclid Avenue NE - The 7 Stages Theatre is located in the Little Five Points area of Atlanta.

Houses - Atlanta, Georgia

While cruising around yesterday I was drawn into this neighborhood of mid-century modern homes by an estate sale sign.  There wasn't anything of interest at the sale but there were some great houses dating from the mid-1950's.  Two houses are pictured here.  The first is where the estate sale was taking place.  They are expecting to put it on the market soon.  It had lots of potential but certainly needed some updating inside.  The second was two houses down on the left and looked gorgeous.

3667 Chamblee Dunwoody Road - Here's an interesting little place from 1965 that I happened across just yesterday.

Cool little sign.  I love the little HoJo-esque spire on top.

I can totally picture this place as a little diner or coffee shop with a cool wraparound neon sign up on the double a-frame roofline.
