Southern California Edison Building - Los Angeles, California

601 West 5th Street - Circa 1931 and known these days as the One Bunker Hill building.  It was designed by the firm Allison & Allison.  I only got a couple of pictures of some details one evening after going to the movies nearby.

House - Daytona Beach, Florida

Tarragona Way - A very nice modern home.

Leadership Louisville Foundation - Louisville, Kentucky

730 West Main Street - It never ceases to amaze me that they used to make things that look like this.  This kind of detail is just not seen anymore (and if it is, it's not this well done).

Park-Aire - Winter Park, Florida

640 North Park Avenue - Love the streamline look of this place.

Art's Cleaners - Columbus, Indiana

326 California Street - While I do find the little commercial building covered in random ashlar stone to be cute, the real draw of this (and what caught my attention from another street) was the sign.

Tropic Cinema - Key West, Florida

416 Eaton Street - Carved from the shell of a former department store comes the rather new yet wonderfully vintage looking Tropic Cinema.  Check out their story here.

Peter A. Beachy Residence - Oak Park, Illinois

238 Forest Avenue - Remodeled to it's current state in 1906 by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Title Insurance Building - Los Angeles, California

433 South Spring Street - My visit to downtown LA in 2008 focused mainly on Broadway and a couple of intersecting streets and sadly missed many of the parallel streets holding numerous treasures.  This building would be one of those.  The two pictures I have were actually taken from the roof of The Judson which butts up against this building.  The art deco Title Insurance Building was contstructed in 1928 and designed by John & Donald Parkinson.  The front of the structure has some lovely details that can be seen on Google Maps Streetview.

Hawk Galleries - Columbus, Ohio

153 East Main Street - Something about this sign grabbed me every time I passed it.  Perhaps it was the scale.

New England Building - Winter Park, Florida

157 East New England Avenue - I love this building but it is in awful shape.  It has a lot of great elements.

My absolute favorite thing is this fantastic staircase and railing.  Love, love, love it!

This support structure is straight out of Tomorrowland.

What is this corrugated metal craziness?  I don't know, but I like it!

Elevator vestibule.

Nathan G. Moore Residence - Oak Park, Illinois

333 Forest Avenue - Originally built in 1895 in the Tudor style and then rebuilt in 1923 after fire damaged the home with some restyling to make it more Wright-ish (Wait, is that a word?  It is now!).

Vanity Furriers - Tampa, Florida

1901 West Cass Street - A great sign circa 1958.

Judson C. Rives Building - Los Angeles, California

424 South Broadway - Here's another building that for which I have no exterior shots for some reason (the exact opposite of my usual situation.  Currently "The Judson" loft apartments, this structure started life in 1906 as an office building designed by Charles Ronald Aldrich in the Beaux Arts style.  The Broadway Theater was added to the first floor in 1924.

Tenth floor elevator.

Marble entrance (upside down since I had to take it from inside the security gate).

Police Department - Sebring, Florida

307 Ridgewood Drive - Sadly I didn't make it out of the car for a look at the plaque near the door but I'm almost positive that this was originally a post office circa 1940.

Rent King - Haines City, Florida

500 East Hinson Avenue - Originally built as a Publix Supermarket.

First Christian Church - Columbus, Indiana

531 Fifth Street - Built in 1942 and designed by Eliel Saarinen.  Sadly I only have the one picture of this modern beauty that I took while making a quick diversion on a trip from Indiana to Florida.  Columbus is definitely one of the places I need to get back to as it has a wealth of interesting architecture.

I'm not sure what side of the building this is but obviously the most notable feature is the 166 foot tall campanile.

Office Building - Fort Pierce, Florida

216 South Second Street - Currently occupied by the Public Defenders Office, I was unable to find any other information on this nice art deco building.  I was happy to find a number of deco buildings during the short time I spent just passing through Fort Pierce (one more place on my list of revisits for further exploration).
