It was and still is lovely. I love the the architect was able to come onto this page and give the human story of his vision of it. There are people behind the buildings we gather in! Sometimes buildings feel like they've always been there, but it always started with a real person.!

What a wonderful site this is. This building is the Federal Emergency Relief Building, designed by Augustus E. Constantine (1939). It is currently known as the Coverdell Legislative Office Building, 18 Capitol Square SW.

Sources: Google Maps, and "Atlanta Architecture: Art Deco to Modern Classic, 1929-1959" by Robert M. It's supposed to be the story of of Creation. I told the designer I wanted color but also a feeling that the design was floating. He did the work in the Chapel, also. No mold or algae, and decades of a pristine exterior. Keim potassium silicate paint is $130/gallon, but so worth it for zero maintenance and none of that recurring horrible mold/algae that I had been fighting for 15 years. A thoughtful restoration would be magnificent. Columbus, like much of America, is sadly not the best at preserving significant structures. Just look at the demolition of the amazing Kahiki restaurant on the same road further into town that was demolished to make way for a Walgreens!Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00389095010943001668noreply@blogger.com
