Mainsail Resort - Ormond Beach, Florida

281 South Atlantic Avenue - The remainder of a 1957 resort that I'm sure contained many cool elements that have been stripped from its exterior.  What we'll call the "main sail" was I'm sure a groovy sign.  I would think that the wall supporting the sail would also have had some kind of ornamentation attached whether it be painted on or three dimensional.  At least the wavy porte cochere remains.

Double RL & Company - Malibu, California

3835 Cross Creek Road - A cool offshoot of the Ralph Lauren brand in a great plane hangar inspired building.  Located at the Malibu Country Mart.

House - Palm Beach, Florida

South Ocean Boulevard - At least I think this was part of a house.  It's rather hard to take pictures and drive at the same time and if I recall correctly, most of this place was hidden from the road.  The relief has a nice wave pattern which is echoed in that fantastic view of the Atlantic.

Peachtree 25th - Atlanta, Georgia

1720 Peachtree Street NW - Built in 1968.  The front of the building, as is noticable in the pictures below, is radically different in style from the other sides.  I have to believe it was changed after a fire in the building in the late 80's.

Here one can see the transition between the look of the "front" of the building with the older style of the side.

Sears - Tampa, Florida

2010 East Hillsborough Avenue - Built in 1957 and designed by the firm Weed, Russell and Johnson.  Now home to a tech school, this was once a beautiful modern Sears store.  See it in its heyday here, here, and here.
