Central High School / COSI

West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio - Central High School opened in 1924 and was designed by architect William B. Ittner. The school closed in 1982. The Center of Science and Industry (COSI) moved into the building in 1999 after the addition of a modern structure by architect Arata Isozaki.

The east side of the building (the Central High School side) faces the Scioto River and downtown Columbus.

  1. Beautiful! I know very little about Columbus, and may never have seen pictures before.

  2. I can't imagine going to high school in a big old building like this compared to the sprawling one story structure we inhabited.
