Florida Polytechnic University - Lakeland, Florida
450 Polytechnic Circle - This morning I was thrilled to go to the Launch of the new Florida Polytechnic University and see the fantastic Innovation, Science, & Technology building up close. Since the first rendering was released of what this building would look like, I've been counting the moments until it would be complete. It's probably the most interesting structure to be built in Polk County since the Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings at Florida Southern College (also in Lakeland). The IST Building was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
Santiago Calatrava speaks at the Launch.
