Elvis' Honeymoon Hideaway, Palm Springs, California

1350 Ladera Circle - This is the home where Elvis and Priscilla Presley honeymooned in 1967. These pictures were taken in October of 2007 while on an architectural tour of Palm Springs. They were taken as we went by in a van which is why the pictures are not as detailed and there is a little bit of reflection off the van windows. It's a super cool house reminiscent of a spacecraft. The house is open for tours by appointment.  Also known as the House of Tomorrow, the home was built in 1960 for owner/developer Bob Alexander.  The house was designed by the firm of Plamer & Krisel.

  1. Awesome! Brilliant photography, too. I'm trying to remember if they used this location as a set for the TV biopic I saw with Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Elvis.

  2. I did read on one of the sites where I was researching that it was used for the Elvis documentary/biopic, so it may have been that one. Brad's daughter says they used it in "Elvis & Me" which she has seen many times as she is a big Elvis fan.

  3. That's the one based on Priscilla's autobiography. I don't remember much about it. Also, I used to watch a TV series, but it was limited to his early years.
