St. Cecilia Cathedral - Omaha, Nebraska

701 North 40th Street - Visible from great lengths, this hilltop cathedral lured me in with its towering power from afar.  Designed by Thomas Rogers Kimball.

  1. Tangent: Saint Cecelia Catholic Church in Clearwater (where Ranney and I went through RCIA) is spelled with two "e"s because that is the way the family who donated the money for its building spelled the name of their daughter. Otherwise, it is spelled with two "i"s, as you show it here, which is the correct spelling of the saint's name.

I love how bright and white this statue looks. What a lovely cathedral!
