Colony Hotel - Miami Beach, Florida

736 Ocean Drive - Built in 1935 and designed by Henry Hohauser.

This one's a little blurry because I didn't have my tripod with me.

  1. Lovely photos! The Colony Hotel has every Deco element you would want in a 1935 building, including the pastel colours, the neon lights and the vertical blade. Only the umbrellas in the front give it away as a modern resort area.

  2. I really dislike those umbrellas and they're in front of many of the hotels along South Beach. They really detract from the lovely Deco elements.
