Carpenter's Home - Lakeland, Florida

Carpenter's Way - Completed in 1929 as a home for retired carpenters.  I was very excited when I was taken here as a surprise a couple of days ago because I thought this building no longer existed.  I was not disappointed.  So many fantastic elements which I'm guessing will end up at the business end of a wrecking ball.  Check out a couple of pictures from the 20's here.

  3. I too spent majority of my childhood in this Building, both as a student an member of church congregation. With out walls church should be shut down as an entire organization for running a piece of ancient history into the ground literally! Not only have they ruined a sacred artifact, but also the nicest piece of land and property in the whole county. This property should be renovated, preserved and placed in history books for a life long piece of American history. Shame on sorry ass With Out Walls, for letting this property go to waste. Shame shame!

  5. Too many times I've seen great historic buildings like this one owned by churches and left to rot because they either don't have the money to maintain them or simply have no interest in doing so. While this building did have a few pretty bad visible problems (and who knows how many not visible ones) it didn't seem too far gone to restore. Perhaps the church will choose to sell the property before it's too late but I'm not going to hold my breath.

  6. would anyone happen to know if this place is haunted? or if someone was killed/burried here? the reason i ask is because me and a few friends went in here when it was broken down in late 2011. we saw misterious things in here. such as a noose hanging from the ceiling, what seemed to be burned flesh in the oven, and writting everywhere that said "Rachel's body is burried on this land." I would also like to know what happened to this place? The full truth. was it a down-fall church brought down by demons? I have tons more interesting questions, if you happen to know anything please email me at shyanne0204@ymail.com

    Thank you .
