6541 Hollywood Boulevard - Built in 1902 and designed by Oliver Dennis and Lyman Farwell, the Janes House was a home and school before being relocated on its lot in the 80's and having a matching shopping center constructed in front of it.

Thank you for this. I have for years wondered about this house. In 1988 I lived just behind the Chinese Theatre in a place called The Regency, which has sadly been torn down. It was a two-story apt. house for female starlets who lived in Hollywood in the 20s. Allegedly, later on Bogie and Marilyn Monroe both lived there. I always wondered if it had been my apt. either lived in.
