Crystal Springs Roller Rink - Crystal Springs, Florida

38030 Central Avenue - While driving home one day from somewhere we happened upon this sign for th Crystal Springs Roller Rink.  Being in the skating business, my partner decided we needed to go and check it out.  The rink is located in the absolute middle of nowhere at the end of a dirt road.  We were on the verge of turning around just before we finally found it.  As you can see below it has a certain rustic charm. 

Henley Field - Lakeland, Florida

1125 North Florida Avenue - Opened in 1925 and designed by W.B. Talley.

Norwood Bowl - Alexandria, Indiana

121 Grant Street - As you can tell by the pictures, the dramatic entrance to this building is what caused me to swerve off the road.

Orange Bowl Lanes - Kissimmee, Florida

1221 East Vine Street - The sign caught my eye while driving by and luckily the storm that was happening subsided long enough for me to get a couple of shots.

Midtown Bowl - Atlanta, Georgia

1936 Piedmont Cirle NE - Caught a glimpse of this fun looking bowling alley while driving around today and had to pull over. The building is from 1960 but the current facade is not that old. The photo on the county assessors sight shows a building that is much more plain. I like the ornamentation that really plays into the retro 50's vibe. The interior was OK. It was clean and well kept but not as interesting as the exterior. It really seemed like a missed opportunity.
