Floyd County Administration Building - Rome, Georgia

12 East 4th Avenue - Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 1896 building was originally a post office and courthouse.

The Hair Affair - Rome, Georgia

220 Glenn Milner Boulevard - I was immediately interested in this circa 1955 building when I spotted it after taking a wrong turn.  The mid-century shape instantly caught my eye.  While doing research for this post I came across a photo of it before it reached it's current state.  I liked the current condition of the building until I saw what it had originally looked like.

Before the remodel (date unknown).  I prefer the cubed facade over the stuccoed facade of the newer version but I suppose it is preferable to the building having been demolished.

Partridge Restaurant - Rome, Georgia

330 Broad Street - Aside from this fantastic sign there's not much else on this facade to right home about.  I would be very curious to know what wonders of the past are buried beneath the corrugated metal covering most surfaces here.  The ground floor facade seems to be covered with a variety of product which I can't readily identify from these photos and don't recall from whenever I took them.
