Pantages Theatre, Hollywood, California

The Pantages Theatre is located at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. It is a beautiful Art Deco theater that opened on June 4, 1930 and was designed by architect B. Marcus Priteca. These photos are from two separate trips to LA. Some are from October 2007 but most are from August 2008. These are all exterior shots. On the August 2008 trip I was lucky enough to attend a performance of Wicked at the Pantages. Interior photos from that trip will be posted next time.

Stuff

I have been in the process of moving to Atlanta and although I am now moved, I do not yet have internet access because of very poor service from the cable company and I am looking for employment.  As a result of these conditions, post will remain slow to non-existent for just a little longer.

Ennis House, Los Angeles, California

Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House is located at 2655 Glendower Avenue in the Hollywood hills. These photos were taken on February 14, 2009 on a trip to LA. The house has been owned by the Ennis House Foundation who was working to restore it. They recently put the house on the market for $15 million.
